Gary Lyon
President & Founder
A collector since the age of five, Gary started buying and selling stamps while in high school in Kentville, Nova Scotia.  He formed collections of Canada, Australian Dependencies, Pitcairn Island and United States before giving up collecting to concentrate on dealing.  After moving to Bathurst, New Brunswick he formed L & M Stamps with a friend, selling stamps through retail price lists and at stamp shows in the Maritime provinces and New England states.  Gary J. Lyon (Philatelist) Ltd. was incorporated in 1978 and Eastern Auctions Ltd. in 1980.

Since 1980 both companies have grown to become the largest of their kind in Canada.  The business is located at 132 Main Street where all three floors are devoted to the buying and selling of stamps, with twelve full time and several part time employees.

Gary also was a chartered accountant and operated a public practice from 1976 to 1993.  Other interests include guitar, tennis and classic movies.
