Company Profile

Eastern Auctions has a staff of 16 full-time employees and 6 part-time, making us Canada's largest stamp auction firm. Our Public Auctions specialize in Canada, Newfoundland and the Provinces, but we also regularly feature United States and British Commonwealth. Our Mail Auctions cover the world, and include over 3,000 lots per sale from single stamps to entire collections.

Stamp collector since the age of 5, Gary Lyon started in the philatelic business just after completing his studies. In 1975 he was admitted to The Institute of Chartered Accountants. For many years he managed an accounting firm, as well as his philatelic business. With the growth of Eastern Auctions his time is now completely devoted to the stamp world. His two businesses are well known worldwide by dealers and collectors.

Our Current Employees

	Gary Lyon President and founder of Gary J. Lyon (Philatelist) Ltd. and Eastern Auctions Ltd.
	Pam Ross Accounts receivable manager for Eastern Auctions Ltd. Pam is one of our first employees and started in July, 1985.
	Raymonde Guitard Order desk manager and customer service. Raymonde started in August of 1987.
	Diane Robichaud Editor for the monthly Gary J. Lyon (Philatelist) Ltd. Price List and the Rare Stamps List. Diane was hired in November 1985.
	Sharon Willett Employed in July 1995. Sharon is our Mail Sale editor and also provides customer service.
	Billie-Jo Beaton Mailing List manager and customer service department. Billie-Jo has been with us since December 1989.
	Cathy Gallagher Shipping manager and philatelic supply order desk. Cathy started with us in July of 1995.
	Cindy Rogers Cindy started in October 2000 and heads our E-bay sales department.
	Kim White Mail Sale lotter and Accounts Payable Clerk. Kim worked for us previously but left to devote more time to her family. She returned in August 2000. Kim also attends our Public Auctions on a regular basis.
	Daniel Boudreau Dan had been involved with both our Philatelist and Eastern divisions from 1990-2003. After a break from philately, Dan returned to us in 2005 with a primary focus on lot description. His responsibilities include mail sale lotter training, and is often seen at our Public Auctions and Show Tables.
	Luc Doucet Network/Web Site Administrator and technical support. Luc started working for us in October, 2000.
	Yohann Tanguay With over 15 years of experience in philatelic auctions, Yohann is the chief describer for our public auctions. He often travels to look at collections for possible consignment. He is a member of the Vincent Graves Greene Foundation Expertising Committee and collects philatelic literature.
	Ross Thompson Ross joined us in January 2008 as a part time Mail Sale lotter. He specializes in Great Britain and the British Commonwealth.
	Bill Burden Aka “The New Guy”, Bill is our Mail Auction Manager and has been with us since Sept. 2008. He brings his enthusiasm for stamps along with many years experience as owner of a smaller stamp business.

	Andrew Jennings Although not an employee, Andrew's continued contract work as Database Programmer and Senior Analyst has earned him an honorary spot on the Employee page.
